A good time to invest?

Barclays down THIRTY PERCENT on the day. Surely a third of its value can't be wiped out.

RBS down 28%

Free money, surely?

Should have posted this in 2 years time once they have bounced. Would have been more apt.

Remember the last meltdown that involved China and oil prices or whatever? The whole thing was forgotten about after a couple of weeks.

Re: Share prices
Barclays recovered 7% in the last 32 minutes

For the early birds amongst us that is the equivalent of 3 years interest in a bank in just over half an hour.

Re: Share prices
I would BUY.

Personally I strategically fucked up by coming in after they killed that woman MP in a crude attempt to secure a 'remain' vote.

RBS you are getting their assets for 0.5 of book value at these prices (50% of what they are worth).

Re: Share prices
Davenport - if you'd invested your traditional 50 pence in Barclays, you would have made FIVE PENCE over the last 90 minutes.

Shame you're not an early bird.

Re: Share prices
If you say so.

Anyone with half a brain cell knew that at 8am the banks were going to be hit hard, and within a couple of weeks they'd have recovered to somewhere near their original price.

is that always the way it works andy?

you have any shares in banks around 2007?

Gentry 11:18 Fri Jun 24
Re: Share prices
So much time on your hands to post up on WHO asking the question, not telling what was going to happen. Whilst trading UK bank stocks and then taking out the profit as they rebounded.

Jog on.
